Edie F. Minkoff has been a patron of the arts throughout her life. For most of her adult life she has been involved in theatrical management of artists in film, theatre, and television. She then expanded to handling fine artists as well.
She had a strong passion for photography for many years and finally decided to devote her time to doing just that. She has admired and collected photographic art for the past twenty years. Her collection includes the works of Kertesz, Horst, Cartier Bresson, Herb Ritz, Louise Dahl-Wolfe, Hy Peskin, Sally Mann, David La Chapelle, Sid Avery and many others. Imbued by these artists, she matriculated in advanced photography courses of the Boca Museum Art School in 2OO8. Since that time she has taken thousands of photos in a variety of venues. Edie states, "My husband and I travel extensively to wonderful locations all over the world. I am truly drawn to nature. Whenever I look at the beauty of nature or the charisma of architectural feats, I reflexively “frame a great shot in my mind and snap away."
Edie's artwork has been seen in various exhibitions in and around South Florida, including Boca Raton, Coral Springs, Delray Beach and Palm Beach. She won her first accolades of First Place and Best in Show in her very first competition. Since then she has won many exhibitions. She is a member of: Women in the Visual Arts (WITVA) and The Artists Guild of the Boca Raton Museum of Art . She is a Past President of WITVA.
