Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts is located at an historic Train Depot just a few blocks away from downtown Lake Worth. This 14,000 square foot complex has a Glass Studio that offers live, narrated glass blowing demonstrations with tours of the fine art gallery for the public. Lunch afterward is optional and a la carte. Pay for the tour/demo online using the button on the HOME page.
While we distance, let’s come together through WITVA’s Virtual Book Club, highlighting books about artists and art.
Our book club will meet once a month over a zoom platform, and we can take turns choosing a book and leading our group.
Let us know you’re interested by emailing Susan Lewine at
We are exploring ways to bring our members together yet remain safe. Our goal is to reach out and connect those members who are in like-minded artistic disciplines, and encourage group members to share artwork and provide feedback and suggestions. We are currently meeting on the Zoom virtual platform.
The WITVA Circle of Artists includes:
· Abstract Art
· Mixed Media/Collage
· Impressionist Art
· Realistic/Representational Art
· Craft Artists
For information about joining one of the circles, contact Kris Henke at WITVANewsletterKGH@gmail.com.
The first series of introductory meetings have been scheduled.
The Women In The Visual Arts HOSPITALART Program is a unique program in South Florida. WITVA Artist members create colorful paintings on canvas and donate them free-of-charge to not-for-profit organizations in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
Our art is anonymously created by many hands. Each of our 18” x 24” canvases may be a complete painting in itself, or grouped to create larger murals. A list is available of the many organizations served by this unique program since 1999.
If you know of a deserving organization that would be interested in art work to help create a cheerful and interesting space, please contact us. Hospitals, clinics, shelters, nursing homes are examples of where we donate our HOSPITALART.
If you are interested in helping to create the art, contact us and we will contact you when we will resume our meetings.
